Holiday/Winter 2025/26

OUR HOMES - Waterloo & Wellington County

What a thrill to see our work on the cover of the Holiday/Winter 2025/26 issue of OUR HOMES—Waterloo & Wellington County! The feature (pp. 40–48) highlights Lyndsay and Kevin Monk’s timeless main-floor renovation—an inspiring project we were brought into by local builder Brian Andres of BAC Renovations.

Working closely with the Monk family, we reimagined their main floor from dark and closed-off to bright, spacious, and made for gathering. With so many decisions involved in a renovation, Lyndsay shared how pivotal it was to have a designer guiding the process and championing their vision.

Partnering with exceptional local vendors, we layered in thoughtful details—like a walk-through pantry, custom artwork, and recessed ceiling lighting—to create a warm, welcoming space that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

We’d love for you to take a peek at the full feature and let us know what you think of the finished space.

Spring 2025

OUR HOMES - Waterloo & Wellington County

We’re delighted to be featured in the Spring 2025 issue of OUR HOMES—Waterloo & Wellington County (p. 93). This project with our clients, Stacey and Greg, was a true collaboration rooted in creativity and purpose.

Their deep commitment to the environment guided every design choice. Our focus was to maximize the potential of their home while honouring sustainable practices—sourcing environmentally conscious materials, thoughtfully repurposing existing pieces, and celebrating the couple’s eclectic, character-rich style.

This project challenged us in the very best ways, and we’re so proud of the warm, vibrant space that emerged. We hope you enjoy the feature as much as we loved bringing this vision to life.

Winter 2025

Joy Home Tour 2024

It was an honour to have one of our projects showcased in the 20th anniversary Joy Home Tour, an annual community tradition that raises vital funds for Hope House in Guelph. Each year, the tour opens the doors to beautifully decorated homes, offering the public a chance to experience inspired design while supporting a meaningful cause.

This year’s feature highlighted a historic Stuart Street home in St. George’s Park—a full top-to-bottom renovation we completed in 2024. Breathing new life into this century home was a labour of love: preserving its character, architecture, and thoughtfully integrating modern functionality. Seeing the home dressed for the holidays and shared with the community was incredibly special. We’re grateful to the Joy Home Tour team for inviting us to be part of such a celebrated event! Take a closer look at the project through the tour’s gallery.

Holiday/Winter 2024/2025

OUR HOMES - Waterloo & Wellington County

We feel incredibly fortunate to have one of our favourite projects showcased in the Holiday/Winter 2024/25 issue of OUR HOMES—Waterloo & Wellington County (pp. 110–120). This whole-home renovation of Kensworth House, a historic 1885 property, was a true labour of love and one of our most meaningful transformations to date.

What began as a disjointed two-unit structure is now a cohesive single-family home designed to support the rhythm of a busy family of five. Preserving the original character while improving flow, function, and day-to-day livability was at the heart of every decision we made.

Working with BAC Renovations, we tackled extensive structural work and added a small addition to unify the space. The result is a bright, welcoming space where the family can gather for years to come.

One of our favourite moments was restoring and repurposing the home’s historic details, original mouldings, wood trim, old doors, and vintage windows. Thoughtful new choices like milk glass, lacquered brass, a coffered ceiling, and red oak flooring were selected to honour the past while ushering the home into the present.

We’re so proud of the final result and hope you enjoy exploring the full feature as much as we loved bringing Kensworth House back to life.
